Wilderness Additions

In 2001 LEGACY worked with the California Wild Heritage Campaign and the California Wilderness Coalition to produce maps of proposed wilderness additions in California. These sixteen maps are the result of that effort. The Northern California Coastal Wild Heritage Wilderness Act of 2006 became federal law on October 17, 2006. The bill officially designated as Wilderness 275,830 acres of federal public roadless land, adding it to the Federal Wilderness Preservation System.
